this didn’t turn out at all how i wanted but i am getting sick of it sitting around half-done for weeks! i love this cat child so much though so i’ll have to do something else with him again soon.
this is Widdershins, a No Moon black cat Lunar who was part of a mortal cult seeking the secrets of sorcery. they succeeded! they unlocked it! and then Widdy stole the secret, ran away, and ate it. Luna looked down and was like, “Nice.” so now he has like several times as much sorcery, and necromancy to boot.
the cult resents this a lot, but Widdy loves them, and they can’t keep him out, so he keeps showing up to show off all the super-cool sorcery he’s learned, while the cult sort of seethes in jealousy. later when Widdy leaves he usually leaves behind a secret or neat sorcerous tool or tiny artifact widget, because he really does love this cult and wants to encourage it to succeed! he just also wants to show off how cool and clever he was.
it didn’t get across well but their Tell is a pair of glowing amber cat eyes in their shadow.
