Oh gosh thank you! His name’s Sancta and is one of my original 12 fantrolls that I made before I lost control and kept making new designs!
His full name is Sancta Impius, and his lusus is a bat with an angler fish antenna, as his lusus has grown he’s gotten more bioluminescent stuff to him, uhm, I’ll draw him actually! Sancta calls him Bat bro!
Sancta used to have large horns that started to twist onto themselves as they grew,
like that, but in recent events of his story they’ve been sawn off. A lot of his story has been him trying to accept himself, from getting himself comfortable in his own skin, to becoming stronger, and finding something to put his life to. However I might just be splitting him off into two stories, the one he’s on now, he’s been taken and experimented on turning him into the person he is now, in a sense of personality and abilities.
he’s got an amazing sense of navigation, as well as an immunity to fire and lava, which has evolved into him being able to control lava. His career choices include engineering, mechanics, and assassination, as well as having taking part of my own rebel group, Equalists.
He’s also cursed with a kind of immortality, developed by another fantroll of mine, Fiscus. It’s called the archanist’s curse/gift, depending on who you ask.
Uhm.., I’m not sure what else to say but if you’ve got any specific questions you can interact with any of my ocs over at @surrogateantipode just be sure to let me know you’re asking about sancta!
Thank you for the ask and i’m glad you like Sancta!
@bunnyburns36 Suggested either pink diamond or pearl’s past outfit for freebie Friday, and since I’ve already drawn some of past pearl, I decided it was about time i drew miss pink~ So here she is blowing a smooch!
Some cuphead ocs that might just double as general ocs but Mistress Mantis and Mister Timbers!
Mistress Mantis is a gothis assassin who’s often mistaken as a vampire of sorts, who has employed mist Timbers for his outstanding skills with potions and poisons of many kinds.
whew chewed through a pic of Grave Goods Gardener since it was fun writing about her. she’s steadfastly avoided the deathlords and kept her head down in the shadowland she lives in. she has a Wood manse that grows fantastic stuff up in Creation not far from her homestead, and she harvests the fruit and brings it back to the Underworld, doing necromantic rituals on it to make it taste super amazing to ghosts. the ancestor cults in the nearby towns come trade with her for intensely saturated ruby-coloured pomegranates and bone-white ghost apples, and starving ghosts with no family to care for them know they can come to her to keep going awhile longer.
her necromantic initiation involved holding her arms up to the elbow in a pool of spectral fish that stripped all flesh to the bone. now she can store some motes for necromancy by dropping some of her blood in a pool of water and gazing into its strange and swirling patterns. when she does Obvious stuff and necromancy her arms “reappear” in eerie, plasmic form. she tends to wear gloves most of the time.
when she’s doing Awareness/Investigation/some Occult stuff, the same glow often comes from under the cow skull she wears, but nobody ever sees her eyes or forehead so.. who knows what’s happening there?
Tallest is Masozi, my sweet Giraffe Centaur boy Smallest is a toss up between Wocky, a 3 foot tall gnomish bard/goddess and Five Corners Menagerie (mostly because I’m not totally sure how tall Five is yet)
9. Darkest Backstory vs. Lightest Backstory
Lightest might be easier… So..let’s see, if I narrow this down to characters who have both of their parents and grew up in relatively safe homes…
Dulcie becomes the obvious answer but her “starting point” for her story puts her at some elementary school age so she lacks any potential crisis some of my adult characters get. She’s a tiny pyromancer whose parents run a bakery and work with her to help control her powers while never making her feel bad about having them.
So if we shift gears and look only at adults then probably…Hope Forged in Flame? She grew up in a loving and supportive household with both of her parents. She dreamed of being a great warrior and defending her home country, which her family supported. She achieved her dream after years of hard work when she joined the accompaniment at The Wall (defenders of the northern border) and the worst hardship she suffered in her backstory was the loss of most of her military unit on a mission north of the wall where she saved the only other living member of the unit and exalted in the process. So yeah, she did pretty well for herself I think.
If that’s still too dark, Cynis Shunka’s only backstory trouble is that they ended up married to a lady who doesn’t really care much for them even though Shunka really wants to make the relationship work.
Darkest is harder.
Maybe…Doyle Mcready, whose family immigrated to the US from Ireland back when the US was absurdly racist against said immigrants, grew up in a household where alcoholism was a sad but present norm, fell into the same patterns, and then just as he was turning his life around as an adult lost his wife to a horrible tragedy. He spent untold amounts of time time-travelling in an attempt to save her but failed each and every time before finally giving up and deciding to jump forward to try and shake all of the memory of his pain. He ended up settling in just long enough before WW2 to get comfortable before joining the war effort. Nearly died twice in the war before travelling forward to like…now where he lives an unassuming life and drinks because he doesn’t know how else to deal with everything he’s been through. ….Yeah probably Doyle
Anyway moving on!
20. Shows the most Skin vs Covers the most skin
Shows the most Skin is Naila (in original Satyr form) who doesn’t believe in wearing clothes. Runner up is Harmony of the Storm who is wearing a bikini top and a sarong whenever she can get away with it.
Covers the most skin is Red Sand Angel who, because she is always cold, is always in long sleeves, fingerless gloves, long pants, and her signature scarf. Runner up is Marley who, because she is a vampire, has to cover up her body to protect it from the sun.
When a character doesn’t realize they’ve been, like, shot or whatever and they hand brushes against their side and comes away wet with blood, and they’re just staring at it like wtf is this and then their knees just totally give out on them and they sink down, maybe gasping a little as the reality finally hits them. That’s good stuff.
I see that, and raise you a character who knows they’ve been shot, but waits until the rest of their crew is out of sight to put their hand against the slowly spreading stain of blood on their shirt, then trying to steady their breathing so they can follow without letting on how injured they are.
Okay but like the character who doesn’t realize they’ve been hurt trying to see if everyone else is okay only to slowly realize that everyone is looking at them with mounting horror. Then they touch their side to find it’s wet and oh no
