centaurs would work if you replace the horse body with a giraffe, because it’d suit the anatomy of a centaur to live of fruits and leafs up in very tall trees.
Also they’d look hilarious when they have to drink water.
i was gonna be like i Need this and then i realized wait… i can draw…
l mfao i should have reblogged this to my artblog!!! … here u go!
Mama Marian with her ever growing gaggle of children is really important to me, but also I was thinking about my other Exalts as parents.
Hope would actually be a great parent. I have trouble picturing her in a romantic relationship, but I know that she wants kids (despite being asexual (which I’m sure isn’t too uncommon)). So honestly I just picture her adopting kids until she has the big family she really wants. Lots of kids from all over Creation with different backgrounds.
Big buff Solar mom Hope working out on a farm in the north, a grand protector of the nearby village, and mother to many a wayward youth.
Has Hope ever mentioned this? Like, out loud? Because Hestus can make her kids.
Little orichalcum children who run on sunlight and warmth, who ingest steel and moonsilver to slowly build themselves up to adult height, with names like Mark Six and Cody Beta. They don’t breath or blink and their faces are inexpressive masks, but they run and laugh and chase Hans and Locomotion Exception Error around the farm and beg for piggyback rides because Hope is the only one who can lift them.
Strange children who shy away from Hope and Hestus when they’re working charms, but crowd around her when she’s done to see what was wrought. They remind Hope of herself when she was that age, and that’s just a nice coincidence until she realizes the resemblance is too strong and asks him exactly what happened to the flesh and blood she’d spilled on their travels.
And bright-eyed children with golden hair whose smiles are innocent and pure, who grow as though childhood sickness and clumsiness was a bad dream that never happens for real. They grow up so fast, but in that time they cram such joy and mirth alongside such intense study, their brilliant minds only matched by their powerful young bodies. Hestus calls them “son” and “daughter” and they call Hope “mother” but Hestus “maker” until she finds his hidden workshop. He smiles like a little boy with a secret, and whispers “genesis is a craft too.”
Hestus is the most precious creature to walk Creation and should be protected at all costs.
So Cityverse has Angels, many of whom are working as guardians of (mostly) mortal humans. It is their job to watch over their charges and protect them from things like demons and fae and the influence of something vague and ethereal referred to as the darkness.
Many Guardian Angels choose to associate with their charges (it is rare for them to have just one) physically, and so they adopt physical forms and names as appropriate for their charges. Typically this means another person, but occasionally it has meant imaginary friends, or familiar stray animals. GAs with very internal charges who do not respond to people very well, or charges who should not be subjected to physical contact (which can be situational) will take the form of the wind whispering and tugging at you, or something similar. Angels do not rely on a physical form to exist and can be in multiple places at once, but many guardians prefer to keep themselves to three or four places maximum.
The most important thing a GA must remember is that they cannot interfere with a person’s free will. They may try to convince that certain actions be committed or avoided, offering knowledge and incentive, but they may not manipulate their charge directly. This is sometimes hard on GAs watching over charges with severe depression who make the decision to make an attempt on their lives.
GAs, of all angels, have the greatest understanding and have developed sympathy for the human condition. They are more understanding of emotion and action than other angels. This also means that they are more likely to fall, though very few cases have ever been recorded.
I should really type up these drabbles I’ve been writing at work

Sabriel will help.
Big strong moms in their heavy armor watching over all the tiny children out on the farm! Sabriel takes them on trips to the river and tells them about sailing. She summons her phantom animals and they play with the kids out in the fields while Coyote laughs. And Hope waits at home chopping wood and keeping everything in order or doing errands waiting for them all to come home.
Azurite and Celestite with their fusion, Chalcedony!
Crash has less than zero interest in caring for children, but Phineas likes kids. Phin would visit Hope and Hope would have her kids call him Papa, even if she does and up with a romantic partner.
Phin brings all sorts of gifts from the west and tells them stories of his grand adventures. He can never stay for long but he is always nice to have when he’s there.
