Okay I laughed really hard at this.
I’m still early on in the design phase, and there’s a lot I’d like to work out before I get into actual programming.
That being said, I’m not against bringing on volunteers for this project once I’m at a place to get productive work done. I work 9-11 hours a day sometimes and that doesn’t leave me a ton of time to do little things like this.
It’s like…really okay to not want to reconnect with people; even if you were friends.
I tried re-connecting once. It was awkward and boring and I regretting wasting my time almost immediately.

Well, they might have flown there. I feel like a race that could naturally fly might well figure out hot air balloons or even powered aircraft before they figured out boats. Also, aren’t there things like water spiders or pond skimmers? I don’t know how they would feel about the ocean, but they might think about trying to cross. If course, maybe they’re the equivalent of backwoods folks who swear they see Bigfoot/crabs..
Water Spiders and Pond Skimmers on our own planet rely on things like surface tension vs size and a whole bunch of other nonsense. I have a difficult time believing that the Faloran can perform similar function given their size; they’re too big to hold the surface tension of the water; so that’s out.
However, Dragonflies are a thing and they live out that-a-ways (and they are considered to be rather odd) so it wouldn’t surprise me if they were the backwoods folk seeing all those strange creatures.
Air travel makes a lot of sense. They would have a knack for that even early on.

You are very correct! I did not mean to imply that Yellow Diamond did not care for her sister, but rather I like to think the emotions she shows are clearly laden with regret and perhaps guilt.
What a better motive to destroy Earth than to cover the remnants of her actions; an attempt to waylay her own guilt. She feels bad for what she did, but she has to believe she did the right thing. She loved her sister, but she believed in maintaining the balance of Gem civilization even at the cost of someone so dear to her.
We can hurt people and still care about them.
I know right? She’s gorgeous! And clearly she can drive a hoverbike like no-one’s business. I’m floored already. I will be overjoyed to see more of her.
And as much as I say “pre-ordering is killing the video game industry” I might buckle and pre-order this and then take a day off from work when it comes out because it’s just that worth it.
And no worries, I’ll keep you clued in on the emotional roller-coaster but I won’t spoil anything plot related because I, too, like being prepared for emotional breakdowns but also enjoy uncovering mysteries
Same though, I know a lot of people will be pissy over Jade being either replaced by some one else, or worse, but hey, hopefully her charming personality and looks will win people over.
Honestly if I could do the same, I would, because it’s that worth it to me too, it’s be like, what? 14 years since the original came out? ( It’s one of those games I played when I was young AF but my bro bought it for me when I was 9 so I was hooked you feel me?)

Jade has had her moment in the limelight and while I would be ELATED to see her and play her again I am content to allow her time as protagonist to be finished. Goodness knows she has earned that right. Let her have some sense of peace.
My only concern is that the player character won’t end up being a girl. It was really important to me, as a young girl with an interest in video games, that I was given a protagonist in BGE who was a non-sexualized girl with a variety of talents and a good heart (who also wasn’t ‘absurdly’ feminine). She had two strong male leads who didn’t steal her light, but worked so impossibly well with her. Idk, for me that’s important.
And I will do my best to live blog it.
I should also go back to live blogging Sailor Moon again because that was a lot of fun and it made me happy.

The only reason I pre-order small Nintendo titles is because I know for a fact if I don’t I just won’t get the game because they won’t have it in stock (and I have precious little space on my Nintendo systems so digital copies are not as efficient)
No, you’re very correct. I can download a digital copy post release. It will not kill me to do so. I bought an external hard drive for my XboxOne specifically for digital downloads.
