The tiniest spider found its way onto my glasses and decided that would be a nice place to explore. Unfortunately the glasses were still on my face.

The trouble with being a software engineer who is also a writer is when it comes to writing design documents.

As a writer, too much repetition isn’t generally that good of a practice, (unless you’re going for a particular effect) so the interchange of similar words and phrases makes sense.

In technical writing this confuses the heck out of senior engineers who assume that if you refer to something as the “base layer” that’s all it will ever be. Gods forbid you later call it the “base level” and they lose all sense of direction.
