What is you favorite tabletop RPG that isn’t Exalted?

That’s tough.

D&D 3.5 holds a lot of close memories that certainly rank it rather high; with characters that were a lot of fun and worlds that have been silly and enchanting; but I’m not sure if favorite is a good word.

Don’t Rest Your Head was a brief affair that ended in tragedy but I’m still left missing the concept (though the implementation is meh)

Fate would get more points if the Aspect system didn’t fill me with so much anxiety. That’s a shame though because I seem to hoard Dresden Style Fate characters (whoops)

I suppose that leaves my current mini-obsession of Dungeon World!
DW’s bonds might give me similar uncomfortable feels to FATE’s aspect system, but a guiding hand from a patient GM has done wonders there. On top of that the system is incredibly simple and the world gets built while you play! How exciting!

DW and FATE might actually tie here. They both include a lot of things I really love and have left me with brilliant experiences. They might not ever hold the love in my heart that Exalted does, but they come pretty darn close.

Of course, there are still plenty of systems I haven’t had the opportunity to play (though someone (or should I say somewhere) is trying to remedy that); as well as several I have played that don’t quite make the cut (Sorry Paranoia, I will never love you).

Yeh, I’m like, I wouldn’t tell you /you/ can’t cosplay some one because of their race/gender/whatever.

I wanna cosplay Amethyst because she’s a short pudge ball and so am I and I can relate to her.

I can’t relate to Pearl at all but she’s like “cosplay her she’d be better for you and you wouldn’t have to put so much work into the cosplay to look like her.”

Frick you.

I think you’d make a cute Amethyst and that sort of thing seems like it would be more fun for you because you can relate to her.

Do your own thin sug; you’ll look cute!

Which one of your characters would you most like to be stuck in an elevator with? Least?

Most would likely be Marian, if you know what I mean.

Least is a toss up between Forrest and Tabor because every second that Tabor and I are stuck in an elevator brings the chance that the thing will fall and we will get seriously injured or die horribly.

Forrest because he has severe claustrophobia and I don’t think I could keep him from hurting one of us in his severe panicking.

Fei-lin, who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?

Oh mercy my, that’s quite the question!
Am I even allowed to answer these? Isn’t that a breach of my purview?
No?

Well alright then.

I suppose Creation is my big answer, that’s part of my job after all? I’d do whatever it takes to protect her people.
And…well, you can’t tell Hawke but I’d go to extremes for her too. She’s rude and hot headed, sure, but one of us has to be the bigger person.

Surprise I’m capable of really sad plots

I crave them. Soul crushing sadness drives me.

Aaaand next up on the games Dungeon tries to get Starlight to play- Polaris: Chivalric Tragedy at Utmost North and The Wish We Wish Tonight. Also known back home as “Everyone thinks they have to kill each other and finally works themselves up to it, but nobody actually had to die and we figure that out after all but one of us is dead.” Nobody’s played Polaris with me since that game…

No I don’t do sad plots with you. You’re evil.

Not quite Mass Effect’s “No matter what someone here is dying and surprise it’s someone you love” evil (which surprisingly keeps me going back for more)

But some weird in between.

((these computers won’t let me use x-kit off the bat and I don’t have time to fanagle it but))

I would have taken the seat next to her but my seat is on the end of the row and she put her backpack in the seat next to her so I’ve been staring angrily and loud whispering to the person sitting beside me (who I’m pretty sure is reading my tumblr posts over my shoulder but that’s cool I just hope I’m not being too distracting)

Next class I walk from Dance so I usually get here a little early. I’m gonna claim that seat because it’s my seat.
