It’s cold outside
So here is a hug for everyone to warm them up
Mun Update
I made it to campus safe
I need to get some internet cables for my room.
I’m camping out at my girlfriend’s apartment with our friends because I went there to visit said friends and it isn’t safe to drive right now.
Unfortunately, my girlfriend is still at home with her parents so I am a sad panda
I’m also tired from the trip and whatnot so maybe reply to rps tomorrow ❤
Mun: Update!
Hey guys
I’m happy to say I’m returning to school tomorrow for spring semester.
I’ve been at my parents house fall semester, looking for internships (and finding nothing)
That being said, I might not be on much, if at all tomorrow and I’ll be around very sparsely from now on so bear with me.
However!
I would love to come back to some asks or hellos in my inbox!
Drop me questions about myself, my trolls, my other OCs, the City, or even Exalted! I’m happy to answer any questions.
Or just say hi! Introduce yourself, tell me something fun, or use my box as a venting tool for life issues.
Most importantly, take care of yourselves. Some of you are in rough spots of varying degrees, and that sucks. I’m looking out for you and hoping things get better. Stay strong and smile on friends
Cityverse: An Introduction to the mind of the Summoner
I love my OCs; from my old retired Mary-Sue (we’ve all had one don’t lie) to the new little OCs I occasionally create because my friends think recycling old characters is cheating (for reference I have over 100 OCs so occasionally I’d like to use an older one kthx).
So,…
Okay that sounds totally wicked
Especially since I love retooling characters
Also I love you too Ami, you’re so rad
Tonight on another episode of: I’m so glad I stayed up this late
As a side note I’d be down for playing vengeful future Kinder if anyone is ever interested
Cityverse: The Everywhere Woman
Okay apparently I don’t feel done talking about the City.
So check out under the cut for information on my oldest OC and her move to the City.

A long time ago two middle school kids decided they wanted to write a book about pokemon. Well…about pokemorphs. I was one of those kids.
From this project grew my first character, a personal persona (and the only personal persona who has both of her parents). Her name was Kiki Komodo (shhh) and she was an Espeon pokemorph who wore a purple kimono and was on the run from her life an an ex-member of Team Magma…while attending summer camp. She was an okay concept that turned out…not so great. But I still loved her. She was a cat girl with psychic powers and a shadowy past. What’s not to love?
Well when that project faded Kiki was recycled into the Inyuasha universe as a cat hanyou (half-demon) who meets up with Inuyasha, his brother, and my cousin’s old OC after Kagome is long dead and all the supporting cast is elsewhere. She and Inuyasha fall in love and go on crazy adventures. There was more character development than that, but none of it matters because this was the time in which Kiki went full on Mary-Sue and needed to be stopped.
Eventually I fell out of rping with my cousin and Kiki fell to the wayside. New characters came up and Kiki wouldn’t resurface again until 2009 as an actual Espeon (she was a side character blah blah dun worry about it).
But Nova/Bean! This post is about the City!
Calm down I’m getting there.
Kiki showed up in the City a few months after the original idea came into my head. She appeared much chubbier, and much older looking (her original age was 16). On top of that, the classic cat ears and tail were gone (though the kimono remains). She hadn’t brought anyone along with her. No supporting cast. Just my Kiki.
For the longest time she has been something of a running gag background character in the city. She runs the apartment complex where many of the character’s live. She also runs a variety of other businesses, though no one is quite sure how. She always seems to be everywhere and to know everything. That’s the joke I guess. She’s using her her old power of being such a Sue to provide function to the city. She still has psychic powers, but she doesn’t seem to use them very often.
She’s wonderful and old and wise and comical…and she baffles everyone she meets. Sometimes if another character asks about her past she alludes to the Poke-verse or her time in the land of Inuyasha but she never drops name of people or places. She just gives a knowing smile and tells vague stories. She’s given me reasons to still love her.
But that’s it. Moving to the City? Check in with the Landlady at one of the local apartment complex’s. I have a feeling you’ll be seeing a lot of her…
Cityverse: An Introduction to the mind of the Summoner
I love my OCs; from my old retired Mary-Sue (we’ve all had one don’t lie) to the new little OCs I occasionally create because my friends think recycling old characters is cheating (for reference I have over 100 OCs so occasionally I’d like to use an older one kthx).
So, to accommodate all of these beautiful characters I created a universe for them. I always called it ‘The City’.
The City is a busy place with apartments and shops and businesses for all of my characters to live and work in permanently. It’s some generic US city that is also a huge hub of magical energy (because let’s be honest, I love monsters and magic too much to have a boring normal place with boring normal people).
More under the cut I guess, if you’re interested

So I guess first I’ll describe how magic works in the City.
The most prevalent magic works like radiation. It’s an unseen substance that acts as a liquid, settling in areas for reasons known to the people who study it but not to much of anyone else. Normally this only affects people who are already magical. For instance: if you can control fire, you will have more control in an area with a higher saturation of magical energy.
However, it also has an impact on unborn children. Pregnant women exposed to pools of magic often have children with odd abilities that range from synesthesia to understanding the language of birds to what is referred to as being magically resistant. If the woman spends all of her time in a Nexus (something of an origin well of magical energy) sometimes the child will also be magical enough to be considered an Adept.
This is odd, as Adepts are most often the result of a magical parent and a non-magical parent. This genetic magic is the second type of magic. Often times, if an adept looks far enough back in their family tree, they will find they have a Fae, Spirit, or Demon ancestor. Adepts tend to have a very specific field of magic that they can wield. Fire Adepts are the most well known (mostly because they cause the most damage) but stranger adepts such as sugar mages or tech wizards do exist. Adepts don’t usually inherit anything from a parent with a minor ability, but can be affected by radiation magic. This often results in an odd mutation to an otherwise predictable ability.
Sometimes magic results in physical mutations, most often being an abnormal hair or eye color. Most people with severe mutations (like tree parts growing out of you, which is also occasionally a result of an offspring of certain fae) are considered outcasts and often sent to their own district within the city. This isn’t a particularly nice place…
Overall, people impacted significantly by magic make up about 45% of the residents of the city. The other 55% are normal humans who carry individual opinions about magic.
Of that 45% most of them are (as Dresden files would refer) ‘minor talents’. A small percentage are adepts, and the remaining tiny percent refer to a category of “Monsters”.
Monsters include, were-creatures, shifters, changelings, fae, spirits, vampires, demons, angels, ‘witches’, and other creatures that could blend into human society without causing too much disturbance. Non-human creatures aren’t considered full citizens and aren’t particularly prevalent within the city.
So where do my characters fit in?
Everywhere. Most of my abnormal characters have been modified into humans unless their species is absolutely central to their character (and not instead to the universe they are in). Each new character earns a place and a job in the city.
And lately…
I’ve found other characters that have had major impacts on my character’s lives have been making their way into the City as well. Characters I’ve met while roleplaying with others have settled in and remind me that we are often impacted by how others lives fit into our own.
That’s all I have to say for now. If you have any questions about the City I can answer them. I might make little blurbs for specific characters just to elaborate. I don’t get to talk about them much, I’d like to at lease vent it out into here.
Any City posts will be tagged cityverse.
Mun Fact:
My favorite episode of Welcome to Nightvale is “A Story About You”
It just sticks out to me for some reason. I really like it.
